Foliage Voyage (2023)
A lighthearted theme and variations, "Foliage Voyage" makes use of marimba, piano, harp, strings, and electronics to explore various colors and textures while taking the listener on a quirky little adventure.
Astronautical Octocorn (2023)
During the pandemic I was part of an indie dev that was trying to create a cute sci-fi game. Unfortunately the game fizzled out...but I was proud of the themes and music I'd created, so I compiled the music I'd written for this game into a short album!
Nebulocity

During the pandemic, I was part of an indie dev team that was trying to create a cute sci-fi game. Unfortunately, the project fizzled out, but I was proud of the themes and music I’d created. I compiled the music into a short album titled Astronautical Octocorn. This album contains a lyrical tune called "Nebulosity," which was originally intended to accompany a "city in the clouds" location in the game. I've always enjoyed this theme and got the itch to reimagine it for live musicians. I had a blast playing with all the colors available in the orchestra and am truly proud of what I've accomplished with this piece. I hope you enjoy!

Polkamezzo
(For Chamber Orchestra) (2024)
While working as the in-house arranger for the Colorado-based band, Neue Polka Colorado, I found myself arranging what felt like millions of polkas. I ate, lived, and breathed polka. Polka haunted my every thought. I could no longer listen to regular music without picturing the relentless "oom-pah" of polka in the background. One day, so thoroughly consumed by this world of beer and offbeats, I began creating my own original polka melodies. These tunes eventually came together in a fun, cute, and danceable little piece I dubbed "Polkamezzo"—a nerdy riff on the classical musical term intermezzo.
Dance of the Dandelions
(For Chamber Orchestra) (2024)
The program notes say this piece is inspired by the whimsical lightness of dandelions as they dance through the air, but that's only part of the story. The other half of the story is that I'm a massive video game nerd who had recently listened to Koji Kondo's score to Mario Galaxy. With this wonderful music floating around my head I crafted a melody that I thought captured the same spirit as tracks like "Gusty Garden Galaxy" and "Egg Planet."

Castles in the Sky

As a child, whenever my family would go on long car rides--which, back then, meant anything longer than 20 minutes--I liked to look out the window and find characters, castles, or scenes unfolding in the clouds. This seemingly endless imagination all kids share inspired me to write a piece of music based off these long car rides, finally adding a soundtrack to scenes long since imagined.

Wood Wide Web
(For String Quartet) (2025)
Beneath the quiet forest floor lies a bustling, vibrant, and largely unseen world: the mycelium network. This intricate, subterranean web of fungal threads is one of the most remarkable biological structures on our planet--one which allows trees to share resources, warn each other of disease or insect attacks, and even nurture their offspring.
Inspired by the interconnectedness of the “Wood Wide Web,” this piece features a constant trading and interweaving of melodic material. No single instrument dominates the melodic narrative for long. Instead, ideas are tossed back and forth, reflecting the decentralized and collaborative nature of mycelial networks.

Merry Wanderer of the Night

Early in 2025 I found myself writing demo music for Elastic Sounds' newest violin sample library. In typical fashion, I overthought it and wrote an entirely original melody for what needed to be about 40 seconds of violin noises. I liked my melody and wasn't content to leave it as a short demo tune, thus "Merry Wanderer" was born!
